WREATHS
& DECORATING STYLES Hundreds
of bow designs, sizes and styles of various colors are
used in hand-crafted wreaths. Cones are used in different
sizes and colored for distinction. Hundreds of ornaments
may be added by the craftsman. Wreaths of various sizes
are used in windows, single doors, double doors, barn
doors, porches, walls, cemeteries and for ceremonial purposes.
Many wreath-makers have expanded their product line to
include a variety of “Evergreen Novelties” such as swags,
kissing balls, stars, crosses, heart designs, centerpieces,
mantelpieces and even mailbox huggies.
ARCH: A curved or arched arrangement often used
over doorways & windows.
BOUGHS: Branches of evergreens used for decorating
and creating wreaths and novelties.
CANDLE RING: Usually a smaller wreath displayed
horizontally on a table or stand with a candle in the
center.
CENTERPIECE: A myriad of designs, large & small,
created to adorn your table.
CORNISH: A right angled arrangement used to frame
the corner of a door or window.
GARLAND/ROPING: Is hung to frame doorways, railings,
staircases and decks and is generally sold (and priced)
by the foot or yard.
GRAVE BLANKET: A large arrangement of greens intended
to be a coverlet or blanket of remembrance - generally
placed flat.
NOVELTY: A greens creation other than the traditional
wreath shape. Novelty shapes include heart, cross, tree,
candy-cane, star and others described above.
SPRAY: A vertically shaped arrangement generally
wider than the swag and is fan-shaped.
SWAG: An arrangement of greens generally hung vertically,
and is often used in combination with garland.
KISSING BALL: A round creation of greens which
most often is hung suspended from a hook, shepherd's hook
or chandelier.
MANTLEPIECE: A long, narrow arrangement designed
to be displayed horizontally along a ledge or fireplace
mantle.
CUSTOM WREATHS: Made to order, following the customer's
individual design, dimensions, colors, etc. to compliment
your personal decor and/ or theme.
DESIGNER WREATHS: Generally more ornate than the
traditional design. Often, one-of-a-kind or original themes
using traditional and non-traditional colors and applications.
NATURAL WREATHS: Decorated with materials found
in nature (cones, berries, nuts, flowers, etc.)
TRADITIONAL WREATHS: Decorated with cones, berries
and a "traditional" red or plaid bow.
ADVENT WREATH: This wreath is most often used in
church or home to commemorate the Advent season. Tapered
candles in purple,pink and white are traditionally inserted
into the wreath frame and are lighted weekly until Christmas.
CEMETERY WREATHS: A small
to medium sized wreath, usually wired to an easel or frame.
A traditional symbol of everlasting love & eternal life.
DOOR WREATHS: Averaging 18" to 26" in diameter
to fit a standard sized residential door. Available in
double door size.
WALL WREATHS: Varying in size from 8" to 6 ft.
or more. Is generally displayed flat against an interior
or exterior wall.
WINDOW WREATHS: Generally smaller than a door wreath
and lighter in weight. Often displayed in multiple groupings.
Can face in or out.
